Well, today was the first day of the boys being home with me. I have to say that it actually went pretty darn well. I know it won't be that way everyday, but today was a good day! We got up around 8 am, had some breakfast and watched a couple of Jaden's shows. From there we turned off the television and played some educational games. Today it was Superhero Concentration. I bet we played about six games. Austin watched us and seemed to enjoy it. Next I gave Jaden some time to play with his toys, but still kept the television off. We did have music going in the background all day though. He helped me make lunch and then they both took naps. Can you believe it? Jaden went down for two whole hours. We can't ever get him to take a nap at home. After he got up from his nap, we did a "cooking project". Blue sugar cookies in the shape of letters. I took some pictures below. Afterwards we went to Staples to buy some art supplies for tomorrow, since everything is on sale right now. Now we are getting dinner ready and watching some Spongebob. Day one is in the books. Wish me luck tomorrow!

Jaden created. They are actually pretty good sugar cookies. I'm sure the blue coloring is toxic, but hey, what isn't? ;-)
Oh and we finished up the day with some bubbles on the deck! In our underwear, of course!
If I had any more, or if I had any less, I wouldn't be where I am today. The thing is, I don't want to be anywhere else. I'm not certain how I got here, but I am thankful this is where I am. I sincerely hope that those around me feel the same.

So, I'm sitting downstairs here with my 'eldest', Jaden, and he needed to go to the bathroom. When he was done he came out and had left the light on. I asked him to go turn it off and he replied "I don't have time to". He then advised me that "You have time to". I advised him that if he didn't turn it off, he wouldn't get to watch any more shows. Needless to say, the light was turned off. This kid is something else. What did I create here???
