Well, I've decided that I am not going to force Jaden into my football team AND baseball team (which is the Pittsburgh Pirates), so I am starting him off with the Cubs!

Austin Update

I just wanted to post a quick update on Austin. He is still in the hospital, but doing a little bit better everyday. They have run tests on his heart and head and they came back fine. It appears he still has one lung that isn't doing it's job as well as it should. He is very close to being on "room air" and as soon as he can do that for 72 hours straight, he should be released. He is eating like a mad man and getting lots and lots of rest. Shannon has been a trooper through all of this, staying at the hospital 8-10 hours a day. Our friends and family have been incredible with offers of assistance and showing up with food for us. You have no idea how much we appreciate everything and I can't thank everyone enough for the kind wishes and prayers. I'll try to update this more frequently, but it just seems like by the time I get home every night I am too exhausted to think, nonetheless write. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, no matter which holiday you might be celebrating. Happy Friday!

Wake Up!

Well, the last two weeks off of work have been exhausting. Normally I was staying up pretty late each evening and sleeping on the couch a lot. Jaden's thing in the morning was to get up, come downstairs and wake daddy up. Well, as most of you know, I went back to work today. I guess he got up, came downstairs and was really confused by the fact that I wasn't here. Tonight when I got home he said "Good job getting up by yourself daddy!" and gave me a kiss. He was SO proud of his daddy for waking up on his own. This kid is freaking hilarious I tell you! No new updates on Austin. Still staying about the same. I'll keep you posted. Have a great week!

Weekend Visitors

Austin is doing well. He is still in the hospital, but is making good strides towards coming home to us. Grandpa Shaun and Grandma Laurie Jo came in from St. Louis to visit this weekend. It was nice to see them and we look forward to them visiting again once we get Austin home.

Austin kicked back and relaxed. He probably won't be this relaxed today, as the doctor is coming to perform his circumcision this morning. Poor little Guy. He is going to be MAD!

The Kelley Family stopped by to visit yesterday and Shannon got a picture of all of the boys outside. Jaden always has a blast with them!
