A cloudy day in Florida is better than a sunny day in Indiana!

We will be there in two short days. We can't wait!

Poor Little Guy

Well, the little Guy had to come home early from school today because he has a 102.7° temperature. He went to bed a little after 6, which is very early for him. I think I am going to have to take him to the doctor tomorrow. We have to get him well soon, as we are heading to Florida on Saturday. I would hate for him to be ill for the trip down. Anyway, it tears us up to see him so lethargic and out of sorts. Hopefully we can get him nursed back to health quickly. I'll keep you all posted.

We just got back from the doctor. He has prescribed rest, fluids and Mucinex. His fever has dropped to below 100° today and so we are not to give him any Tylenol unless it spikes above 101° again. He is currently resting and he seems to have his appetite back. Looks like things are getting better. He should be able to return to school tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Eater Weekend

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We sure did. I went to Cincinnati on Saturday morning to visit our friends Jim and Heather to see the new addition to the family, TJ. He is a good looking little man. Unfortunately Shannon and Jaden couldn't go since Jaden has a little bit of a cough and cold and TJ doesn't need to catch either one of those right now. Apparently while I was gone our little Guy was very "defiant", as mommy phrased it for me. He was getting into everything he shouldn't have been and doing exactly the opposite of what mommy asked. I know the term is the "terrible twos", but I don't think Jaden got that memo. I think it is "terrible fourteen months" at our house. Yesterday we hung out at the house and Shannon's mom and grandma stopped by with some very nice gifts for the little Guy. He got a rocking chair from grandma Libby, which he got on and started rocking on right away. They must have one at school, b/c he sure knew what to do. He also got an Easter basket from his great grandma Minnie. It had candy and some sunglasses for our upcoming trip to Florida. It was a very good weekend. I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! P.S. The swingset did NOT get built this weekend, as it was in the 20's here.
