Mommyless Evening

Well, you can certainly tell when mommy won't be around for the evening. Daddy and Jaden are sharing a bag of bbq pork rinds right now preparing for the IU game. Can I just tell you that he freaking LOVES these things. Sad. Additionally, dinner will consist of chipped beef on toast. There is also a VERY good chance that we will be making some peanut butter and M&M cookies a little later. It's not healthy to leave daddy and Jaden alone! Well, gotta run, I have to get our blankets and pillows ready to watch the game! Enjoy your evening!

P.S. There will probably be a lot of burping and finger pulling as well.

Crates: They aren't just for dogs anymore!

Jaden thought it would be fun to get in Zoey's crate today. I hope Child Services finds these pictures AS amusing. ;-)

Why we spent all that money on a crib, I'll never know. He's looks just as happy in here. Maybe we can take him as a "carry on" when we go to Florida later this year. After all, I'm not too excited about having to buy a ticket for his flight this time around since he is too old to fly for free. I could just put him in an overhead bin in the crate, right????

Daily Reflections

2008 is here. Our son is two years old. We will be married four years as of this June. Our lives are seriously blessed beyond belief. I sometimes wonder if those around us know how much we love them and appreciate how they shape our lives. When I say "those", I mean family, friends, and even those that aren't totally in the "circle of trust" (Meet the Parents / Fockers reference) just yet. Sometimes I'm sure Shannon and I don't have or make the time to let each of you know how much you are needed and valued. Trust me, it's not because we don't know it. The reason is strictly because we are overwhelmed with life right now. It was only three years ago that Shannon and I lived in Florida, went to the beach on the weekends and didn't have anything but time and.....well, TIME. With that said, there is not one thing we would change in our lives right now. Jaden is the most unbelievable 'gift' that we could ever desire. However, without those close to us, we could never give him half of the incredible life he is getting to experience right now. We just want you all to know how much we love you, appreciate you and need you. Life is good!

Happy Birthday to Jaden......AGAIN!!!!

Well, we went down to Grandma Karen and Grandpa Tom's house to celebrate Jaden's birthday this weekend, since we weren't able to get together with them last weekend. Jaden and the family had a great time!

The bakery staff at Kroger isn't the most proficient group of spellers. Jaden's name ended up with a "y" that doesn't belong there. Oh well, it's cake!!!!!

Jaden hanging out with his cousins, Brennan and Nick.

A dog that talks and moves. WAY too exciting for Jaden, as you can see!

Jaden passing out "thank you" hugs to everyone, starting with Aunt Tammy.

Grandpa Tom is probably trying to agitate Jaden in this picture, if I know him....and I DO!
