Beware of the Crockogators!

For those of you that know me, you may or may not know that I am a bit of an "agitator" when it comes to messing with people. Since I am an equal opportunity offender, I don't refrain from including my son in the abuse. At bath time I tell him that if he doesn't get out of the tub when it is draining, he will go down the drain where the alligators live. Yeah, I know, I'm a jerk! In any event, somewhere he must have been introduced to crocodiles, as I found out today. When I started draining the water, he said he didn't want to go down the drain where the crockogators live. I guess he was combining the two words. It was pretty freaking funny. I have this feeling that by the time he turns 3, I will no longer be the most humorous person in the house....Heck, I may not be NOW. Half the time, I'm the only person that finds myself amusing! Enjoy your weekend.

Christmas in June

I JUST found out what Jaden is getting for Christmas! Wait! Maybe I just found out what Daddy is getting for Christmas!!!! Shannon DID say something about making some updates to our bedroom recently.....Maybe she was just "planting the seed". I guess I'll just have to act surprised on Christmas Day! ;-)

Router Work

I took my router and did the edges of the deck and bench. I chopped a few spots up too much, but there were a couple of boards I was going to replace anyway, so no harm, no foul!

It's a 1/2 inch roundover bit, and it really cleaned up a lot of the sharp edges nicely.

Watch your step!

The new light fixture I put up on Sunday. Thanks Grandma Karen and Grandpa Tom. You bought the router bits as well.

What a man!

Is it just me, or does Jaden look really "long"?

"Top it mommy! Top taking pictures of me!"

Here I am!

Cheese!

Humorous Quote

I saw this quote and it made me smile:

"We tried really hard to babyproof our house, but somehow, a couple of them still got in."

Actually, I tried that for 35 years and after one "slipped" in, I became angered at myself for not letting them in sooner! ;-)

Jaden the Builder

Well, daddy finally figured out how to deal with Daylight Savings Time. I installed shades in the bedroom windows this weekend. Grandma Karen and Grandpa Tom had given us a Home Depot gift card for our birthdays and I utilized it to the fullest this weekend. I got the darkest kind I could find. You can now be in our bedroom and it seems like midnight instead of noon. In fact, Jaden and Daddy slept in until 10 am on Sunday morning. I can't tell you when that has ever happened. Jaden sleeping in, not daddy. I could do that every day! We also installed a new porch light and I bought some new router bits and rounded off the edges of the bench on the deck and the steps. It really turned out great. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them. Thanks Grandma Karen and Grandpa Tom, the gift is appreciated! Enjoy your week!
