THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!
Yes, Friday is here folks. You know what that means! Party Time!!! I will probably head out to the bars tonight, followed by watching college basketball all day Saturday and do brunch and Bloody Mary's on Sunday. It should be awesome! Ooooooooooooooooooooooh, wait......I have a child now. Maybe I should adjust the plans just a bit. I suppose that I'll take it easy tonight, since I was up a lot last night for feedings and changes. Yeah, that's what I'll do. I'll just make dinner and maybe we can watch a movie or something. We can hit the sack early, so that I will be well rested for Saturday, then the party will begin! Dang, I forgot some people are stopping by to see Jaden on Saturday, so I guess I will have to watch basketball at home instead of going out. Well, that shouldn't be too bad, I'll just get a twelve pack and enjoy the games at the house, between visits, I guess. WAIT! I can't drink twelve beers b/c I will still have to take care of Jaden. Ok, maybe I'll just get a six pack and save a few for after brunch and Bloody Mary's on Sunday. Yeah, that's what I'll do. Crap, I just thought about Sunday. You can't get a babysitter for 10am on a Sunday. Well, maybe I'll just make breakfast and do some laundry, clean the house up a bit and wash the cars. However, when MONDAY comes, I....I.....I.......well, I guess I will be back at work.......

Who's your "Daddy"?
At 35 years old, I never thought I would be answering to a name other than Guy, but recently I found out that I was wrong. My newest moniker is “daddy”. Not that my son can even say that word yet, but it is how I am now referred to by both “mommy” and myself. On top of all that, I now find that I have plummeted to the same lows as many of the top sports figures of our time. Yes, I can be grouped in with the Allen Iversons, the Deion Sanders and Karl Malones of the world because I too speak of myself in the 3rd person. It’s no longer, “I’m going to the store” or “I’ll be right back”. It is now “Daddy is going to the store” or “Daddy will be right back”. You might be reading this and saying, that’s ok Guy, we all talk to our kids like that at some point. Well, the dilemma here is that I am not usually talking to him. I’m usually talking to mommy, a.k.a. Shannon, or even just to myself. It is very disturbing. I guess I always knew that this point in time would arrive, I just thought it would be when I was 65 and my 21 year old girlfriend was saying it to me. Well, that’s all for now, daddy has to go change a dirty diaper. :-)
