WELCOME HOME, UNCLE BRANDON!

As many of you might be aware, Brandon moved to Mesa, Arizona for a change in scenery...and weather. Well, all is going well for him and he thought he would come back to visit this holiday weekend. We are looking forward to his visit and I'm sure he is looking forward to it as well. He will probably be suprised to see how big Jaden is getting, as well as how grown up his other nephews are becoming. We all can't wait to see him. See ya on Saturday Brandon!

Life Update

Hey folks, I just wanted to take a minute to give you an update on how Jaden is doing. He is almost 7 months old now. Can you believe it? I sure can't. I have no idea where the time goes. It seems like just yesterday I was staying up all night with him the first couple of nights back from the hospital watching Richard Pryor; Live on the Sunset Strip, at 4am, just because I didn't know what else to do with him. Since then we have had our ups and downs with colds and ear infections, but overall he has been pretty darn healthy. He is now sitting up on his own, laughing, making crazy noises and screeches, and is creating a "personality". We have finally made it to solid foods and cereals, in combination with his bottle, and he is doing great with that so far. Pretty soon he should be crawling, walking and even talking. However, if he does learn to speak in the next few months, there is a good chance his first words might be "F**king Raiders!", as he will certainly be watching football with his daddy quite often. Anyway, things are great with us. Our family is truly blessed to have the support of our friends and family that have made this whole crazy, spit up cleaning, stinky diaper changing, bank account depleting, life changing event much, much easier than it could have been. Without a doubt, this has been the most exciting time in our lives and we are glad you have been able to share it with us, both in person and via the blog. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Florida

I just wanted to post a quick note to our friends and family in Florida to wish them the best through Tropical Storm Ernesto. Hopefully it doesn't intensify and everyone makes it through safely. Our thoughts are with you!

Jaden's new stuff

Jaden playing on his new mat mommy got him. He really likes it. There are pieces that can be removed from the mat to play with and you can configure it in several different ways. What fun!
