1/2 Irish 1/2 Hoosier

Well, I thought the Irish were WAY overrated before the season(as they were), and I was truly embarrassed in the first half against Michigan State, BUUUUUTTTT......What a victory! I only mention this because Jaden received his FIRST Notre Dame item TODAY! Jaden got a ND football this morning from my sister, her husband, and their kids, Nick and Brennan. So here is what I am thinking. Each week, one of our friends or family gives Jaden a football related gift and daddy will bet on that team. All winnings will go to his 529 fund and if I can put enough in there, maybe he can actually GO to Notre Dame. Or, if daddy starts losing a lot, he will deplete the 529 to pay his bookie. I'm not saying that Jaden receiving a ND item today made a difference in the game, but I will point out that when daddy picks a team or wears an item of clothing related to that team, they lose. Granted, all daddy has are Raiders and Hoosiers apparel, but somehow I feel responsible for their horrible seasons. Well, congrats to the Irish and Go Colts! (might want to wager on Jacksonville now). ;-)

I know I am not suppossed to do this, but I swear to God that I don't know how we were blessed with such a happy baby. I wonder if they make "Life is Good" shirts for kids? I might have to look into that, as you know that is what he is thinking. ;-)

I tried to make this picture as small as possible, as no one wants to see my face this close up, but I thought I would show you the beatdown Jaden gave me while we were in Orlando. His new thing is to try grab everything or everyone that gets in his way. Well, I guess I hadn't clipped his fingernails in a few days, as they grow very quickly, and he caught me above the nose and under my right eye. He actually drew blood. Now, I know he can't really talk yet, but I swear I heard; "fix me a turkey pot pie, bit*h!" right before he cut me. I could be wrong, but it sure sounded like that. In any event, if you come to visit, or if you are babysitting Jaden, watch his left! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey folks. We are in Orlando for a long weekend. Shannon had to come down for work, so Jaden and I decided to tag along. We came down on Friday and we will be returning on Wednesday. Jaden did very well on the flight and has been very good since we have been here. We went to Universal Studios "City Walk" yesterday to eat and walk around a bit. Jaden's still a little young to take to Disney, but I'm sure we will be back down in a few years when he can enjoy it! Anyway, just wanted to give you all an update. I'll get some pictures up when we return. Have a wonderful Sunday and although they are a horrible, horrible team, Go Raiders!
