Little Liar (He is a mini me!)

So I put Jaden down for bed tonight and stayed in with him until he went to sleep. While I was lying on the floor, he was making some noises in bed. Basically he was lightly kicking the wall. When I told him to stop kicking the wall, he responded with "I not kicking the wall daddy". This was immediately followed with a different kicking sound. Now, I am certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I certainly know the difference between kicking drywall and kicking the side of a plastic bed frame. The little punk....errr, "pumpkin" lied to daddy and tried to cover it up. I'm so proud! Always look them in the eye when you tell your lies son! That's half the battle. If that doesn't work use the old Jedi Mind Trick that Eddie Murphy used to talk about in his stand up routine in Raw;
Mr. T walked up to me and said "I heard you did some jokes about me."
"No you didn't."
"Maybe I didn't...I'm gonna beat up the fool that told me them lies"
Enjoy your week!

Jaden IS Spiderman

Grandpa Shaun and Grandma Laurie Jo got Jaden a VERY cool gift this year. It's a video with Jaden's picture superimposed on Spiderman. This video does not do it justice, but trust me it is HILARIOUS! We have watched it about 8-9 times already. Thanks grandma and grandpa!

Jaden had a GREAT Christmas this year. He got EVERYTHING he asked for; a computer, tools and a rocketship, plus all kinds of things he DIDN'T ask for, but LOVES! Thanks everyone for making this such a great holiday for all of us. Please enjoy all of the posts below! Happy Holidays!

Santa Jaden

Here's some video from Christmas Eve at our house. Enjoy. We did!

Thanks Uncle Brandon!

Christmas Eve at Our House

Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve. We enjoyed the evening with Grandma Libby and Mammaw Minnie. We had a great time. Sorry the pictures are so grainy, but as you scroll down, you will find out that problem has been rectified via a gift from Shannon. :-)

WOW. That's a LOT of gifts for 5 people. The reality of it is that most of them are for Jaden!

The first present of the evening. A gift from Uncle Brandon.

It's a DVD set of the true Christmas Classics. "The Grinch that Stole Christmas", Frosty the Snowman" and "The Year Without a Santa Claus". We put that in right away!

Since Cousin Zachary wasn't here to hand out gifts this year, Jaden took over the duties.

They are starting to pile up!

The Grinch kept taking Jaden's attention, but he still got the gifts passed around.

Mommy got a new Sirius radio for her car.

Daddy got a new camera and you will see in the future posts how well it works!

Dr. Jaden, at your service

Mammaw showing off her comfy slippers.

Jaden even looks good in gift wrap!

Tearing into it!

Daddy got "Jaden" some Fun Bops. They were really for Daddy.

A slinky, a slinky, a fun and wonderful toy....

Looks like the Grinch is coming to see Jaden!

Fun Bops in action!

Yeah, maybe I'm "turning" him into a trouble maker, aren't I?

He's not afraid to fight back. He got some good rights in on me!

Getting cookies and milk ready for Santa.

Maybe I should eat just one!!!!

Trashy Phone Calls!

Yeah, probably wasn't what you expected by the title, eh?

McFadden Who??

Raiders Win! Raiders Win!

Here is the reason I didn't think we needed McFadden this year. Michael Bush. He had a great career at Louisville, but got hurt his senior year. We took him in the fourth round last year and let him sit all year to heal. Well, today you got to see why he was so highly touted prior to his injury. He put up 177 and 2 TD's against the Buccaneers today and CRUSHED their playoff aspirations. Yeah, a small victory, but one nonetheless.

Oh, and I am well aware that it took me 4 days to put up pictures of Jaden at Christmas, and 4 minutes to put this up after the game. What can I say, it's a sickness; Raideritis!

Have a great week. Mine just started off well!

Christmas Day at Our House

It's not like Jaden didn't open a LOT of presents on Christmas Eve, but there were lots and lots more on Christmas Day.

Santa brought Zoey a new blanket.

Jaden posing with his Hulk fists.

Zoey wants to know what Hulk Fists are too...

The Bat Cave!

Gotta have clean teeth before you open your gifts!

Yes, this is day 2 of presents and ALL are for Jaden.

EVERY single present under the tree is for Jaden. Crazy!

His bistro to the left. Pushing presents out to the living room to open!

This is SO much fun. Let's do this every day!

Merry Christmas to me!

Christmas Day with Daddy's family

Well, even though Jaden got more than he probably "deserved" from Santa and mom and dad, he got to go to the Southside on Christmas day for even more loot! We had a great time and would like to thank Tammy, Lance, Brennan and Nick for having us over!

Jaden got the "puter" he asked for from Grandma Karen and Grandpa Tom.

Grandpa Tom available at a minute's notice to help with the unwrapping if need be. However, there will be NO need. Jaden has this unwrapping stuff down pat!

Grandpa Tom's birthday and Christmas present. The Alligator saw from Black and Decker. Now he can go mutilate MORE trees in his yard!

No caption needed. Just one of the best games ever!

What is dis?

Brennan exuding joy and glee!

Nick's turn to open some gifts.

More Spiderman stuff? Jaden doesn't even like Spiderman. ;-)

Merry Christmas

We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday! Merry Christmas, Happy Chuanaka, Happy Kwanza and Happy Festivus! Whatever you choose or choose not to celebrate. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We may not tell you all of the time, but we know we are blessed and we do appreciate all that we have. This will be Jaden's first Christmas in which Santa Claus makes sense to him, so we are VERY excited about the whole event. This time next year, there will be two of them to enjoy the holiday together and we can't wait! However, next year daddy will be asking Santa for a financial windfall in order to afford the aforementioned addition to the family! Anyway, God bless you and yours and we look forward to enjoying 2009 with each and every one of you!

Sunday at the Stores

Well, daddy is doing some Christmas shopping early this year. I normally go on the 24th, but have decided to beat the crowds. I'm going to drop Jaden off at mom and dad's, and hit the stores. I'm not looking forward to this adventure in the least, but I guess I don't really have a choice. If I don't get Shannon something for Christmas this year, it could be my last. Happy Holidays to all, and if you are smart like me you will go shopping today to beat the rush!

Don't leave us alone

Mommy went to Preggo-Yoga or something like that tonight, so Jaden and Daddy had to fare for themselves for dinner. Jaden wanted bagels, so I compromised and made bagels, bacon, eggs and toast. Good stuff!

Okay, so as I look at this picture, I realize I may not make the best "parental decisions" when mommy's not home. Jaden on the counter, leaning over the utensil drawer. A set of knives to the right, a toaster plugged in next to the chips, and a wine bottle opener with a very sharp corkscrew directly behind him. Did I mention the grease splattering bacon just a stone's throw away? Who is at the door??? Child Protective Services? You again????

Ah, I feel much safer now that I can't SEE the danger around him.

It's all good! Now where's my breakfast / dinner daddy?

More visits with Santa

We got to visit Santa another time last weekend at Shannon's place of employment. It was a very good time! We had breakfast with Santa.

Getting ready to head inside. It's coldy out!

Come on daddy, you are done eating. Let's go see Santa!

Is that beard real?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Awesome Saturday

We had a great Saturday. Jaden got to go see Santa and do lots of fun things at our friends church. Afterwards we came home and daddy and Jaden and Zoey played out in the snow for awhile. We unpacked the Christmas decorations and then watched some movies. We had a fire going throughout the day and evening and really had some quality family time. It was a great time and we got lots of pictures for you to enjoy! Happy Sunday!

Visit with Santa

Saturday we were invited by our friends Kaitlyn, Amy and Bruce to come by their church for some fun things for the kids and to visit with Santa. It was a great time and we truly appreciate the invitation. Jaden had a blast!

Jaden and Kaitlyn.

In line to see the "big guy"

Last year Jaden was scared of Santa, but this year he was all about it.

I told him what I wanted, and he said he's going to bring it!!!!

Craft time for mommy.....errr, I mean Jaden.
