Unsolved Mystery

So while I was recently out of town, Jaden received a couple of gifts in the mail. One was a Pittsburgh Steelers onesie / jersey and a Cleveland Browns onesie / jersey. They are both awesome gifts, but for some reason they did not come with a card or any identification of who might have sent them. Now you may be thinking, how can Guy even say these are "awesome" gifts being a RaiderFan? Well, oddly enough, I used to be a Steelers fan back in the day and the Brown's jersey is a Braylon Edwards, who I have in ALL three of my fantasy leagues. On top of everything else, Jaden will choose his own favorite NFL team when I decide he is old enough to make that decision. In the meantime, he is a RaiderFan. Nevertheless, football is football, and as long as he is enjoying it, all is well in this household. So to whomever sent the jerseys, thank you very, very much as they are extremely appreciated. Go Raiders, and Steelers, and Browns, and Colts.....And I "guess" Rams.......Have a great weekend everyone! Oh, and since I KNOW Uncle Brandon is wondering about the Steelers jersey, it's Hines Ward. Also a fairly nice player. ;-)

Jaden is one sneaky little Guy. I was heading back to his room to check on him and I saw him inching his way over to the video monitor Shannon has to "spy" on him 24/7. When I saw this event taking place, I decided to get it on film. It's just like watching a movie with a bank robbery. Always take the cameras out first.......Man, this kid is smart. Another genetically passed trait he received from his mommy. As always, enjoy!

Wah Wah Wah Wah

Well, I just thought you might like to see a short clip of Jaden making his favorite sound. His grandma Libby realized this little talent of his and he has been doing it ever since. However, the more I look at it, I don't know that it's so much talent versus laziness. Occasionally he will do it on his own, although smacking himself in the mouth much harder, but when people are around he lets them do all of the hard work. Maybe he overheard his daddy's mantra of "work smarter, not harder". You never know. Enjoy the show!

J "Puffy" Dab

So Shannon took the little Guy to the doctor today because he seems to have this cough and now cold he can't shake. All is well, nothing major, so that is good news. However, I thought I would tell you a cute story about the visit. We have a doctor who is very similar to me. Not in the fact that I make a bunch of money and flaunt my Rolex watch around, while I am treating children for illnesses, while some of my patients might not have enough money to pay their medical bills.....But I digress. We are similar in the fact that we both seem to finish other people's sentences from time to time. Well today was one of those days and Mommy did not think it was all that amusing....Although Daddy did..hehehe. As you can see in this picture (Self - Portrait taken by Shannon while I was gone) that the little Guy has some red cheeks working these days. He also genetically shares nice full cheeks like his Mommy. Well, Shannon was going to ask the doctor about the redness and said: "I wanted to ask about Jaden's cheeks....." The doctor then interjected "being so puffy?" Shannon then replied, "No, that part is normal. I wanted to ask about why they are so red?" :-) Yeah, I know it's not like the old "Congratulations." "On what?" "Being pregnant." "I'm not pregnant." routine, but you sure have to feel like a jerk after saying that.......But then again, he is a doctor. Enjoy your Thursday!

Finally back home!

Sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I had to go to Florida for work and just got back last night. It was nice to get back to where we used to live and I had a wonderful time with my friends down there, but I missed my family something awful. While I was gone Shannon sent me some pictures of the little Guy and it made want to come back home even more. He is now sitting up in his bed at will and on his own now and is very, very close to crawling. Here are a couple of pictures I received while out of town. Enjoy!
